Product Details
Iron and steel are not the only metal products that can be recycled for manufacturing or industrial purposes. In recycling terms, “non-ferrous” refers to recyclable scrap metal containing no iron. As with steel, the use of recyclable non-ferrous metals not only cuts manufacturing costs and helps reduce negative environmental impact, but it also simply makes sense.
The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has established guidelines for a whole array of recyclable non-ferrous scrap materials. Example of these include:
Copper (e.g., heavy copper, scrap, various grades of copper wire)
Brass (e.g., scrap, castings, clippings, casings)
Aluminum (e.g., foil, sheet aluminum, wire/cable, grindings, auto parts)
Zinc (e.g., die-cast scrap, clippings, scrap zinc)
Magnesium (e.g., scrap, clips, engraver plates)
Lead (e.g., dross, soft lead, battery plates)
Nickel (e.g., old and new nickel scrap, cupro nickel solids)
Tin
Pewter
Precious metals—i.e., gold, silver, palladium, platinum
Regardless of what type of non-ferrous scrap metal you need, Madison Steel has the resources and the logistics to get it to you on time and within budget.
