A387 Grade 12 Class 2 steel can be used in high temperature environment of industrial boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing industry, the steel contains more molybdenum chromium element, which makes the A387 Gr 12 Cl 2 steel has slight corrosion resistance, although compared with stainless steel, corrosion resistance seem a bit small, but compared with other types of steel is more durable, economical and practical. This is one of the reasons why ASTM A387 Grade 12 Class 2 steel is so popular.
