Business Introduction

UHT is a Swedish engineering company with leading metallurgical processes in the area of converter refining, AOD and CLU, and metal granulation, GRANSHOT.
We also supply plug-in control systems for any existing or new AOD or CLU converter with our flexible and powerful UTCAS system.
The CLU converter process is a development of the AOD process where we have added superheated steam as an extra process gas. It minimizes and can replace costly Argon and steam provides excellent heat control to maintain refractory longer and avoiding expensive cooling scrap. Our AOD and CLU concept is for 5-70 tonnes vessels, complete with skids and control system, training package and performance guarantees.
GRANSHOT metal granulation is for pig iron, steel, stainless steel and ferroalloys. We deliver complete industrialized plants with close to 100% process yield of large size granules. Granulation replaces slow, dangerous, low yield and low availabilty processes such as pooling/beaching and casting machines.
